Station Supervisors Level II Contract

*** UPDATE - JUNE 25, 2014 ***

Today, the MTA Board ratified the Station Supervisor Level II agreement.

We will schedule an implementation meeting with the Authority as soon as possible.  Once we agree on an implementation schedule we will post it here.

I happy to announce we have reached an eight-year collective bargaining agreement with the Transit Authority that runs from March 2010 through April 2018.

The agreement includes all of the pattern raises that Local 100 had achieved in their last two contracts with full retroactivity.  We maintained all of our current health benefits with no changes to our healthcare contribution formula and have included a re-opener clause that will give us the ability to negotiate future improvements in our dental and vision benefits.  Our agreement increases our life insurance benefit from $5,000 to $25,000, and our line of duty death benefit from $50,000 to $250,000.  But, the most significant gain we were able to achieve in this agreement was the inclusion of an additional sick leave provision.

This contract took us a couple of months longer to negotiate then we had anticipated, but in the end, we were able to reach an agreement that includes all of the Local 100 raises without having to go to arbitration.  In the next few days you will receive a ratification ballot in the mail.  Please take the time to fill it out and return your ballot to the PO Box by Friday, June 20th.  Once the agreement is ratified by the members It will then go the MTA Board for approval on Wednesday, June 25th.

I would like to thank everyone for their patience during these negotiations and I hope that everyone will vote to ratify this agreement.
