Vaccinations for Transit Employees

IMPORTANT VACCINE UPDATE January 14th

The MTA has set-up a webform for members to register and schedule an appointment for a free vaccination at the Javits Center.  The time slots reserved for MTA employees is DOB 130P - 330P and DOS 330P - 530P.  The MTA is offering a 2 hour pay incentive to our members to get vaccinated.  The this time, the MTA would like employees to schedule their appointment either on their RDO's or after their tour of duty.  For more information on the webform please contact the Union office or your Chairperson.

On Monday, January 11, 2021, transit workers will be eligible to receive the COVID vaccine.  Members can begin registering now for a free vaccination.

On Monday, January 11th, 2021, New York State will begin scheduling vaccinations for the next group of people in Phase 1B. New Yorkers eligible for the vaccine under Phase 1B include:

  • People age 75+
  • Teachers and education workers
  • First responders (police and fire departments)
  • Public transit workers
  • Public safety workers

Vaccination sites will include pharmacies, doctor’s offices, the Javits Center, and more.

On Monday New York State will launch a registration website for eligible New Yorkers to schedule an appointment to receive their vaccination. Check for updates and more information here.

We are also working with the MTA to have "on-site"vaccinations available to our members as well.

We encourage all our members to get vaccinated as soon as possible to protect themselves, their families and their co-workers.
