Reinvent Albany Urges Governor to Veto Bus Lane Enforcement Carve-Out for MTA Workers

As Transit Workers, we work to serve the people of New York and at the same time we are getting ticketed for doing our jobs, which is a disgrace, and now we have an organization, Reinvent Albany, seeking to hurt us and hold us back from getting the justice we deserve. Our legislation protects Transit Workers from getting ticketed for being in a bus lane while performing the duties they have been assigned by the Transit Authority, and what the hell is wrong with that!

I have no doubt this is the MTA working with this organization to hurt Transit Workers from being protected. The Transit Authority has not once lifted a finger on their own to protect its workers or even advocated for our protection. In fact, the MTA has done all that it could to keep the status quo and tried to stop this Bill from moving forward and for that, they are a complete disgrace and should be ashamed of themselves as we as a Union are disgusted with them.
