TSO/TWU Local 106 First Fund Raiser in our 71 Year History, Held for Amanda Farias!

We held the first political fund raiser today at Jimmy’s Grand Cafe in the Bronx. This was intimate but big because it was the first time ever in the 71 year history of the Transit Supervisors Organization-TWU Local 106 we ever held a a political fund raiser for a candidate. There is no better candidate that we felt who deserved this honor than Amanda Farias who is running for re-election for her seat on the New York City Council, District 18.

We were happy to have TWU International President John Samuelsen, TWU Treasurer Jerome LaFragola and TWU Staff Rep. Christina Scott join us. It says all you need to know about how great a political candidate really is when two of the four top leaders from the TWU International come to support you. Local 100 Vice President Robert Kelly, and Pat Flannery from Local 2001 attended as well to show support.

Local 106 fully endorses the re-election of Amanda Farias to the New York City Council, District 18 and we urge you to go to the QR code below and help contribute to the Farias re-election. Especially if you live in the Bronx!
