President Valenti at MTA Board Meeting, standing up for the MSII’s transfer rights

When you have 4 highly qualified MSII’s submitting resumes to transfer to 4 open positions in Quality Assurance, which is easier work with more overtime, and all 4 are passed over as management hires 4 newly promoted MSI’s to fill the positions, we have a big problem! And we’re not going to let that just go down without a raging fight.

Vice President/MSII Chairman, Joseph Betancourt has filed a complaint with SIR over the Department’s handling of this case. And we will continue to stay on this issue until we get the transfer rights we deserve.

The second issue President Valenti raised, was supervisors being removed from their work locations for many months due to an EEO complaint. EEO and SIR starts investigations, does some interviews, and then the investigations stalls out completely as our supervisors and other employees sit in total limbo losing their minds sitting in conference room staring at the wall like being in prison. And this prison sentence for some has gone on for over a year. It’s a disgrace and these two departments need to fix this!
