Bus Lane Enforcement Bill Moving Quickly Through Albany!

The Bus Lane Enforcement Bill sponsored by Leroy Comrie in the Senate (S6815) and Brian Cunningham in the Assembly (A8292), is moving at incredible speed to be passed this year. This bill if passed into law would give an affirmative defense to a Transit Supervisor and other employees that are operating a MTA/NYCT Transit vehicle in a bus lane while in performance of their duties.

Local 106 got this bill drafted and recruited support from everywhere we can to get this crazy DOT policy corrected. We are pushing this legislation hard so we can mitigate the damages this policy has caused for our members.

This is your COPE/PAF dollars at work, because without that, none of this would be happening!
