Bus Riders Speaking Out About Dispatcher Cuts

This is just one of many complaints we heard on Friday November 12th, when we were out in the streets at locations the Transit Authority designated for elimination and reassignment to the Bus Command Center. The public were rightfully angry about the planned cuts the Authority plans on making in January, because they know better than Transit Management that the Bus Dispatchers are not just there to keep Buses running on time, they are there, to help riders in every way, from helping moms fold baby carriages when boarding, helping seniors and tourist with directions and chasing cars and trucks out of bus stops so a bus can pull in and out, and being that sense of security to riders as they wait for the bus.

Let your voice be heard tomorrow November 19th at the MTA Board Meeting. You must register to speak between 12:55 pm and 1:25 pm which can be done remotely.

Board meeting starts at 1:30pm. If you work a foot post that is on the list to be eliminated share this link with the riders and ask them to share their concerns with Janno Lieber and the MTA Board.
