2nd BCC Network Systemwide Outage in One Day!
On Friday December 12th, at 3:14pm the BCC Network and Radio system had a second systemwide outage in the same day. This second outage lasted more than 4 hours.
As the new Dept. of Buses management team plans to remove 26 dispatchers from the road and reassign them to the BCC, against the strong advice and grievance from our Union, due to the fact that the BCC systems are not working properly and their plan will put the riding public and bus operators safety in jeopardy in many ways.
With the BCC Radio Network having these 2 systemwide outages in one day with winter and the holidays approaching, we are more convinced than ever that the Dept. of Buses managers plan, endangers the public and the bus operators we care about and supervise.
For the good and safety of the riding public and the bus operators, we will be calling on the the MTA Office of the Inspector General, New York City Council, and any other agency that has an interest in public safety to investigate these BCC systemwide outages and the BCC radio system as a whole.
