Memorial Day 2025

America is land of the free home of the brave, because of the brave. In America’s almost 250 year existence, American men have been called on by draft or by choice to serve in one of the branches of the United States Military, to fight in a war in some far off land to ensure that, that war does not come to our homeland and hurt our families.

Most of these men, were very young, and had their whole lives ahead of them but they did not hesitate to answer the call to fight for America, to preserve the safety and freedom of generations of Americans to come. On Memorial Day, we stop, hang an AMERICAN flag outside of our homes and we pay respect for those young men that were killed in battle for our great nation. These young men, in a far off land on the other side of the world, died in a jungle, at sea, in the dessert, in a trench and many other places we care not to think about.

But on Memorial Day we need to think about these young men and what they sacrificed for all of us, so we can continue to live in free country. Everyone of these men are Heroes and they should never be forgotten. I ask that when you wake up on Monday morning Memorial Day, you say a prayer for all of these men and women that paid the ultimate price for our freedom.
