Defective Buses DO NOT Belong on the Road!

Maintenance Supervisors! Don’t let managers pressure you to put redline defective buses on the road. Stand your ground, and if you need to, call your Division Chairman to come to the location to address the problem. You should never allow a bus that has been positively identified, as out of service for a redline defect, to be downgraded to non-redline in order to make pull-out. If that is happening, I want to know about it.

There has been an ongoing investigation into this matter for almost a year now and you don’t want to be the one caught up, out of work and possibly facing dismissal by an arbitrator for an act that could potentially cause an accident and harm to others.

Protect yourself by not cutting corners and breaking rules to appease your managers. Non repaired defective buses especially redlines, need to stay at the depot and not be allowed out on the road.
