TWU Local 106 Women’s Committee Takes Off!

We are happy to announce (just in time for Mothers Day) after an election between two great candidates and a tight, race, that Michelle M. Gonzalez has become the first officially elected Chairwoman of the Women’s Committee. We also want to thank Tulani N. Melendez for running for the position and expressing interest as we know she would have done a great job as well.

Renita Horton ran unopposed and Renita will be the Co-Chairwoman/Recording Secretary.

The Executive Council wishes Michelle and Renita the best of luck in their new positions. The goal of the Women’s Committee is to help the Women of Local 106 Transit Supervisors and advocate for Women concerning issues and we’re certain both women will do a great job helping the membership.
