NYS Senate Majority Leader, Andrea Stewart-Cousins Friend of TSO/TWU Local 106!

It was a great event and Local 106 was happy to be there in support of Leader Stewart-Cousins, because Leader Stewart-Cousins has championed some of the most important Bills that affect Transit workers in decades. Namely, the Death Gamble Bill, Bus Lane Enforcement Bill, and Tier 6 overtime ceiling Bill.
Without the strong leadership of Andrea Stewart-Cousins in the NYS Senate these three Bills would not be in the great position they are today, of now only needing a signature from Governor Hochul to be passed and turned into law.
Local 106 and other TWU locals will soon be turning up the heat on Governor Hochul to sign these bills. When that happens we will also be calling on YOU to play an active part in letting the Governor know we all vote, we’re not happy and we need these Bills signed.
