NYS Comptroller Tom DiNapoli, taps Local 106 Recording Secretary to the September 11th Workers Protection Task Force

New York State Comptroller Tom DiNapoli has appointed Local 106 Recording Secretary Jose DeJesus to represent him on the September 11th Worker Protection Task Force. Jose was a track worker on September 11, 2001 operating heavy equipment at ground zero. Jose worked for several weeks at the site helping in the cleanup effort. Jose was also honored this year at the Local 100, 911 Recognition awards.

Jose is a MSII in the Department of Subways has become a great asset to Local 106 wearing many hats other than Local Recording Secretary. Jose is also the Senior Political Director and Chairman of the TWU New York State Conference representing 70,000 members and 14 unions.

We are proud of Jose and all that he does to advance the rights and needs of Supervisors and all TWU members.
