OA and Queens General Wage Increases (GWI) will go into effect on July 20th. MSII GWI will go into effect on August 3rd. We don’t have a retro date yet but we expect that to be at the end of the year probably in November.

We have been told that on Sunday June 11th, the 9th Precinct Detectives Squad made an arrest in the assault case on our brother. This person is being charged with Assault in the Second Degree. The TSO will be in court when information on the arraignment becomes available to us. Read more…

On Saturday June 10th one of our Manhattan Road Dispatchers was standing at 4th Avenue and Astor place when a unidentified male pedestrian sucker punched the Dispatcher in the face. A third party of Health Plex Dental, has suffered a data breach. Some of our members may be affected by this. Once we get more information we’ll let you know. For now the MTA has promised full credit monitoring for all of our members in this plan.

We are happy to announce that today we signed off on continuing the Road Control PIP’s for MTA Bus, OA and the Queens Division Road Dispatchers. This is the sixth year we have been getting the PIP for our members and it really has been working out great for everyone. Read more…
