Death Gamble Bill (A6784/S6640) Passes Both Houses!

NY State Assemblywoman Stacey Pheffer Amato (District 23) and NY State Senator Andrew Gounardes (District 26) have now moved the NYC Transit Worker Death Gamble Bill through both the Senate and Assembly. We can’t thank them enough for all of their efforts and all of the great Senators and Assemby men and women that voted to approve this Bill.

Last year Governor Hochul vetoed this Bill, which was a major blow to all Transit workers. This Bill will be heading to the Governor again soon and we’ll see what she does this time.

We will continue to work non-stop on this important piece of legislation until it is signed by this Governor or the next, as failing is not an option.
