Local 106, Hosts TWU NY State Conference Meeting with State Senator Jeremy Cooney

Local 106 Recording Secretary/Senior Political Director and Chairman of the TWU NY State Conference, Jose DeJesus put together a meeting with some of the New York Locals, giving the Locals a chance to talk directly to NY State Senator and Chairman of the Transportation Committee Jeremy Cooney. Senator Cooney has been a great ally of the TWU and was very helpful in getting our own Bus Lane Enforcement Bill passed the committee and onto the next step in the process.

International President John Samuelsen was in attendance as well, and he opened up the meeting with a great speech on where the TWU is heading and our need to work with Senators like Cooney and the threat of AI to all jobs.
