Contract Negotiations
There is not much of significance to report at the moment other than to let you know where we are, and what the hold up is at the moment. There is one main hold up and a few smaller issues that need to be resolved. The main hold up is that we are waiting for the budget department to cost out a proposal that we made regarding a change to the NYSHIP/Aetna enrollment periods. The department that does this is short staffed and are working on other projects along with doing this costing so that’s why this is taking so long.
The other smaller issues are Department based which requires the individual Departments to either draft language or counter our proposals with their own. This is taking more time than anyone would like but I have put as much pressure that I possibly can on those that need to feel it.
With the economy in decline and the cost of living on the rise I know that getting contracts and raises is the #1 thing you need from us right now and I want you to know that we are aware of that and that we’re doing all that we can to make that happen as quickly as possible.
I want to thank you for your patience and continued support and assure you that we are working tirelessly on settling all of the outstanding contracts ASAP.
