Bronx Borough President Honors Julio Romero, OA/Bronx Road Dispatcher

We are incredibly proud of our man Julio Romero, Bronx Road Dispatcher. Today we attended the Annual Bronx Labor Breakfast and Julio was given a Citation of Merit, by Bronx Borough President Vanessa Gibson.

Below is the bio that was read about Julio before Julio accepted this esteemed Citation.

Julio Romero has lived and served his entire life in the Bronx, Julio embarked on his professional journey as a substance abuse counselor at the Osborne Association, driven by a passion for helping others.

Transitioning to NYC Transit in 1997, he honed his skills as a bus driver for over seven years, working out of the Kingsbridge Depot which serves the Bronx community, demonstrating his commitment to excellence.

Julio`s dedication and leadership qualities led him to ascend to the role of Surface Line Dispatcher within TWU Local 106 Supervisors Union, where he currently serves. Julio’s outstanding performance has earned him numerous accolades from the Transit Authority for his exceptional service and dedication to customer satisfaction.

Despite his demanding career, he remains deeply rooted in his Bronx community, volunteering as a substance abuse counselor, a testament to his unwavering commitment to improving the lives of those around him.

As the President of this Union I can’t tell you how much it means to me personally to have a man like Julio in our organization. What this humble man does in the community as a substance abuse counselor is absolutely amazing and really is gods works. He is the best that you can want, not only as a member of your Union but more importantly as a neighbor.
