Don’t Sign Anything!

Why you should not sign anything- When you sign that you accepted being handed a Bulletin, Directive, etc. Management goes into your Personal Action File (PAF) and enters that you received that information. You may not even look at the paper that they gave you because you’re busy working but if something happens down the road, they will pull your PAF and throw it in your face that you signed off that you received the Memo.

I’ve been a Dispatcher for 25 years and in those years, this has been our policy and nothing has changed.

You should always be respectful when refusing to sign, just let the manager know “I’m not signing to put me down as refused to sign”. Call your Division Chairman if the Manager becomes aggressive. Management knows this is our position and has always respected that.
