Governor Signs Assault Bill

Queens Division Chairman and TSO Legislative Director Todd Napoletano was at the Jamaica Bus Depot in Queens today representing the TSO in support of Governor Hochul’s signing of Bill 6472-B. This new law finally covers assaults on Transit Supervisors which and will hopefully be a deterrent for anyone to lay their hands on a member of Supervision or any Transit Worker for that matter.

President Valenti said “Now more than ever due to the soaring crime rates in New York State especially assaults on Transit Employees, it’s great that the Governor and those in Albany acted to do something to deter this trend from continuing”.

It should be noted, this is not an endorsment of Governor Hohul’s election bid.
