MTA Bus Local 106 Chairman says “You ask we listen”.
When Baisley Park SLD John Jackman brought to our attention his Safety concerns when a Bus Operator turns in a bag that has to be logged into Lost and Found. He was concerned that while checking the bag he had no protections against being cut or stuck by a foreign object. We then set up a meeting with the Baisley Park Depot managers and presented our concerns. At the conclusion of the meeting it was decided that they would start the process and find some Puncture Proof gloves that can be used. Today we have placed a pair of Puncture Proof Gloves in the Crew Office at Baisley Park. An order we be placed for the remaining MTA Bus Depots and once they arrive we make sure they are delivered to the remaining properties.
