The MTA Con Zone Begins

At midnight the MTA began charging motorist that drive south of 61st street in Manhattan a $9.00 toll for doing what they have done for the last century for free. The MTA wants to call it the Congestion Pricing Zone, claiming it will reduce vehicle traffic and pollution while making the environment better.

Neither one of these things will happen, furthermore everything in Manhattan will now cost more money because the trickle down effect of businesses passing the increase trucking costs off to you the consumer.

President Biden, Governor Hochul and Mayor Adams are to blame for the crime in New York. They allowed our country and our city to be invaded by the third world and now we are seeing the fruits of their purposeful misdeeds in the spike of violent crime on the streets and in the subways and buses. Now the two of these blunders will converge. The Hochul violent crime sanctuary state of NY and the Janno Lieber Con zone pushing you to take the subway rather than pay a $9.00 toll.

The MTA wants you to believe this $9.00 toll will better the transit system but how can you believe that when we the supervisors see so much of this incredible wasteful spending going on internally everyday. At the same time, they squeeze us to death at the bargaining table.

You can expect a Con Zone coming to a neighborhood near you. When a town village like Huntington Long Island needs money in 5 years, what better way to get those funds by just putting up a few Con Zone poles and start collection tolls. This can happen, and I predict will happen in every county in the state.

The one hope, is when President Trump comes back into office on January 20th he promised to kill the Con Zone. Lets hope that happens before this takes root and you find a toll in your own non Manhattan neighborhood, because as of now nothing will stop the corruption and abuse in the MTA and the incompetent, untrustworthy, buffoon of a Governor, Kathy Hochul from wrecking New York.
