What Should Happen and What Will Happen After Congestion Pricing is Dead for Good

As President Trump pushes to kill congestion pricing and Governor Hochul fights like hell to ensure New Yorkers continue to pay more to just drive into Manhattan, what I predict is that Congestion pricing will end for good and the MTA will then look at the MTA workforce as their way to make up for their budget deficit. The MTA will make major cuts that will affect the hard working men and women of the NYC Transit Authority, and they will do this as a leverage tool to piss off the Unions and the workforce to speak out against Washington and President Trump. What you should know is that, Zero dollars from the Congestion pricing was going to the operations of the Transit Authority. All of the money generated from Congestion pricing was going to capital improvements.

What should happen when Congestion pricing ends, the SBS pay before you board bus service should end, Transit fares should go up, Fare evasion on subways and buses should to be dealt with in the most strongest manner, Liquidated damages needs to be collected from all contractors that breach their contract with the MTA. All purchases of electric buses should stop and the Transit Authority should look to the current Transit workforce to do all projects that they would have farmed out to a private contractor. Lastly, the MTA needs a DOGE type oversight person or persons to weed out all of the waste. Years of waste and zero accountability within MTA management is why their is a budget problem today, and if their is going to be cuts to achieve a balanced budget, the waste and accountability needs to be dealt with first.
